Just a quick video showing how I replaced both the Clutch Master Cylinder and Clutch Slave Cylinder on a 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Pretty easy job with a few simple tools. We were able to match the pushrod length from the old parts to the new parts and the pedal free play felt perfect. There’s a diagram in the video that shows what the spec should be for the pedal ‘play’ adjustment.
Tools needed
10mm flare nut wrench or line wrench
12mm sockets (standard and deep)
14mm socket
Ratchet or breaker bar and a wobble extension is helpful.
Small Pliers
If you have trouble with getting the bolt nearest the brake booster out, I would suggest trying a 12mm flex head ratcheting wrench.
